Client Testimonial: State of Colorado's 18th Judicial District

Colorado District Attorney's Office strives to maintain compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act

The Eighteenth Judicial District of the state of Colorado was established in 1962, and
today there are 48 judicial officers in the Eighteenth Judicial District, five physical court
locations, and one website to keep it all tied together with timely, accurate information
and legal updates; which by law, must be accessible to everyone.

Challenge and solution

While they’ve achieved compliance before, new laws and mandates called for an update to the District Attorney’s public-facing website to ensure they hadn’t failed to keep pace with all the latest ADA and WCAG requirements.

In their own words

" We have webmasters, of course, but they’re really not the policy or infrastructure design team, we don’t have that piece in house. So we’re good at web design and all that; but we needed (external experts) to provide the parameters to achieve accessibility. " — Jonathan Saultz, CTO and Director of Central Services, CO District Attorney's Office
