Having a WCAG 2.1 A/AA accessibility audit performed on your website or mobile application provides your organization with the information you need to devise a plan to remediate and become compliant with the universally recognized guidelines. By ensuring your digital presence is accessible, you increase customer satisfaction and limit business risk.
BoIA clients receive a breakdown of all checkpoints that don’t comply with the WCAG 2.1 A/AA standards. By blending the automated computerized results with those identified by our manual testers, providing our clients a comprehensive view of any accessibility issues within their websites and/or mobile applications.
We Support Your Team at Every Step
We consider an engagement successful when our clients become self-sufficient over time, so throughout the audit process, we assure that your team understands the logic behind our recommendations instead of just giving you a list of steps to follow.
Our Web Developer’s Guide which is delivered upon audit completion, is an in-depth resource organized by issue theme, such as Media or Structure. This detailed guide provides your development team with best-practice remediation recommendations established by our world-class Subject Matter Experts incorporating their years of varied backgrounds and experiences.
Four-Point Testing Methodology
Our four-point testing starts with individuals with at least one impairment using assistive technology who examine pages and functions of each website and/or mobile application for the guidelines as defined by WCAG 2.1 A/AA. A Subject Matter Expert then reviews each outcome during the second pass testing, answering deferred questions, ensuring accuracy and adding their input as needed. These manual results are then married with the results from our automated testing output, creating two comprehensive reports which are again reviewed for accuracy by a senior programmer, ultimately giving our clients in-depth, real-world results. All reporting can be exported from our system and imported into your internal ticket tracking systems such as JIRA, Trello, Basecamp and Bugzilla.
Results and Ongoing Improvement
You will receive prioritized recommendations, including specific code examples where applicable, to bring your website into compliance. We help you develop a roadmap that includes best practices and suggested next steps. Our involvement doesn’t end with delivering the results of our extensive testing process. As you’re adding new pages and information to your site, it’s possible that compliance will slip. Our team will work with you on an ongoing basis to provide periodic checks against key metrics.
