The FCC Releases New Accessibility Requirements for Mobile Internet Browsers

Section 718 of the Communications Act, has been implemented by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), updating the 2010 Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA)2, an Act instituted to guarantee disabled people have access to emerging and innovative advanced communications technologies.

The updated Order will certify that Internet browsers used for advanced communications services (ACS) are installed or included by ACS equipment manufacturers or provided by ACS service providers. Specifically, this regulation will influence Mobile phone and tablet devices."
