WCAG 2.1 - SC 2.4.5 Multiple Ways

Unless a particular page is the result of, or a step in, a process, provide more than one way to locate a web page within the site. Different users may find one technique of navigation more usable than others.

Official Requirements:

2.4.5 Multiple Ways: More than one way is available to locate a Web page within a set of Web pages except where the Web Page is the result of, or a step in, a process.

How to fix:

  • Consider providing a site map or table of contents.
  • Consider providing search functionality.
  • For a small site, provide a list of all pages on the home page.
  • Use the link element to provide links between the home page and sub-pages, and between sequential pages.
  • Provide a link to all pages on each page.
