National Federation of the Blind National Convention

The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) is hosting their 72nd annual convention June 30th through July 5th, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.

The seven day long National Convention is the largest gathering of blind individuals anywhere in the world. An estimated 3,000 delegates from all across the United States, many foreign countries, and featured guests from all 52 affiliates will be in attendance. The National Convention will be comprised of a large number of activities: exhibits, educational discussions, tactile guided tours, and technology seminars pertaining to the future of accessibility, are just several of the main attractions. The NFB Constitution states that the convention is, “the supreme authority of the Federation” and as that supreme authority, aims to help and educate as many individuals as possible.
