The Iowa government system had decided that eGovernment information needed to be from a citizen-centric viewpoint. With this in mind, in May of 2011, they had created steps to formulate and implement this plan. As of March 2012, the Government has stated they have correctly met Federal standards for individuals with disabilities, offered a user-friendly common look, and provided a common organization and navigation system amongst the different websites. As they have met these standards they have set for themselves, the new eGovernment system will now be put into effect.
Governor Branstad and others on the committee are proud of the work they have accomplished. “We are pleased to offer friendly, easy-to-use Web services for Iowans, and believe Iowa can be a national leader in offering the best online services to the needs of Iowans”.
